I've looked into joining. Its been in my family a while.

They're are 23423424 websites and shows out there that people who are paranoid conspiriacy theorist make. You'll find more of those than you will sites that have some logic. Call/contact a local lodge. They will gladly sit down and talk to you about joining. They won't tell you everything about them, but enough to help you decide whether you should join or not. You have to ask to be one... hence one of their slogans : 2b1ask1. It's something to look into. Once I get my bachelors degree I hope I have the time to join. I already have the petition and everything.

I am a Master Mason. So far, some of what I have seen posted is somewhat close, but much of it is way off.

Masons are not a secret society. We are an organization based upon doing good for others, that has some secret aspects.

Masons do not recruit. You must petition to join, then be voted in by the lodge.

We don't wear funny hats, that is the Shriners. You have to be a Mason to be a Shriner, but not the other way.

The television shows have been more designed to gain viewers than to report the truth.

There are many Catholics who are Masons, it is true about the expectation of believing in one Supreme Being.

Find a local Mason and have a chat. If you are a worthwhile person, you may get to join. You will be glad that you did.

I promise there is nothing stealthy or suspicious going on. If you are looking for that you will be disappointed.

Just kidding, that was uncalled for, I couldn't resist. The Masons are a fine organization and do really good things for their communities. I wish you the best
