Hey everyone. I have just taken my new tacoma out for a few days on the trail. I wanted to ask if you had any tips for cleaning out all of the dirt and dust that has made it's way onto the dash and into every panel in the car.

What would be the best way to go about cleaning the fine dirt dust out of the interior?

Careful cleaning the odometer/speedometer display. The plastic scratches very easily

Vacuum/compressed air out what you can and then use an interior detailing spray and microfiber cloth for the rest. Finish off with some aerospace 303 protectant.

Be extremely, extremely careful with the clear plastic over the gauge cluster display. That thing scratches unbelievably easy. I made the mistake and scratched mine to hell, but I'd say the best shot you have is a small can of compressed air first to get what you can off. Then microfiber with interior detailer and dab the surface repeatedly until you don't see any more dust.

I use Chinchillas and Dash and Glass on every interior hard surface, this stuff is great! But my truck is a street princess and never sees a gravel or mud road so she cleans up easy.

Blow and vacuum as much as you can before getting dirt wet.

Haven't wheeled in a while, but remember distinctly it's easier to remove dirt dust from cracks and crevices before spraying it with cleaner and turning it into mud.

    swiffer duster
compressor with a blow gun and a long ass nozzel
vacuum on the side where you are blowing the dust out to, to suck it all up (try a hepa vac if you have one, standard shop vac will probably just throw it all back out if its really fine dust)

Last time I did it I used my festool vac

blowgun like the bottom or middle one.

I have a High Efficiency Filter Bag in mine. When I use to burn wood before I built my 1st fire in the fall I would suck the ashes out of the fireplace. No fine ash or dust blows out of these. Get them at Walmart. I like my shop vac so much I use it more than my upright vacuum in the house. With that Micro Vacuum Attachment kit I posted the link to you can suck the dust out of your computer tower fans/keyboard and be done with it. I know a guy that just blows the dust out of his tower right on his desk in his living room. To me that is just plain lazy/nasty.

Totally agree...cleans all the lint/dust off the dash and gauges without leaving a film.
