This looks like a good thread to bump back up.
I picked up a 10/22 take down recently. Magpul is coming out with the backpacker stock this spring that I've been eyeing.

    https://www.magpul.com/products/x-22-backpacker-stock-ruger-10-22-takedow

Only thing I can think of is the feel/speed when swapping mags. I can swap between two BX25 mags smoothly since they are easy to handle. The banana style makes it easy to tell orientation. I always fumble when swapping the stock 10 round mags due to their small size or reverse the orientation by accident.

I've scored a couple more the last week or so. First is a 10/22 magnum converted to .17HMR (Shilen barrel) Hogue stock that will be replaced soon. I just ordered some Vortex glass for it.

The second is a Feddersons machined receiver. I'm still deciding on which way to go with this. Probably a Feddersons sporter barrel (I have a couple heavy barreled ones already) and a custom stock. This thing is a work of art even nicer than the Kidd stuff.IMG_5770.jpg

I'm going to go sporter profile for sure, I'm tired of the heavy .920 tubes. I can get the same accuracy after I figure which ammo each barrel prefers.

Picked up my 10/22 yesterday and fired it for the first time. Love it. Can't wait to get some nice glass and plink away with it.

    Just the basics
Just discovered the magpul backpacker. Bastard money takers. For the takedown models this seems like a must have.

I'm itching to order one. My .22 stock is below 1k so I'm debating on stocking up on ammo or getting this accessories. I'm leaning on buying ammo and wait a month for reviews.
