I haven't clay barred it yet...although I did experiment with the stuff on the really nasty spots under the roof rack ribs. I just needed to get some wax on the spot I dicked up with windex when I was putting the TW sticker on it...it just turned into waxing the whole truck because I decided to break out the scratch and swirl remover and buff out (by hand) some of the fingernail scratches around the door handles and a scuff on the flare where I bumped it with the trash can...well that and I attempted to polish out the scuffed paint where the moon roof air deflector used to be and where the roof rack ribs sit after the clay bar didn't really do much, but then neither did the scratch remover. Think it needs to be wet sanded or something to get that stuff out, though I guess it's possible that a more aggressive compound with a power buffer might do it.

At any rate, I had to fix that dicked up spot 'cause I didn't want to leave the paint unprotected that long. I just got a little carried away with the rest of it.

Unaware of the height requirements for here. Have to look into it. But yeah the weather has been fantastic!
Wandered out to the cost to grab this pic.

I could be mistaken on that. It seems like I read somewhere that Oregon was trying to pass legislation limiting the height you could lift your vehicle. It may not have passed though.

I have seen a couple lifted trucks. Not as many as I thought I would so far. Seen a couple tacos that weren't too built up surprisingly.

Nice! Well, except for the mall-crawler wheels, but hell yeah! Turd Gens look amazing in OGT livery. Even that big ugly grille almost looks good like that.:drool::drool:

Well, folks, as of tomorrow morning, I'll be off-line until Saturday at the earliest, maybe Sunday, since we'll be having the house tented. If the usual suspects want to get a hold of me for some reason, you guys can text me.

Needless to say, I'll be hating life for the next few days. Not being able to go home completely sucks. :annoyed:

Oh, and one thing that didn't survive that ordeal, besides the bugs, was my phone. It still works for the most part, but I had it on the counter at the place we were staying charging it when one of the half a dozen cats in the house decided the cord looked like it'd be fun to play with and wound up introducing my poor phone to a terrazzo floor from about 3' up. It shattered the very bottom of my screen and damaged the USB port so now I have to hold my mouth just right in order to charge it or transfer pics and such off it. It's cool though. I have insurance on it so hopefully I can get it replaced without too much trouble.

    :fingerscrossed:
