I tried searching and didn't see this particular issue. 2016 TRDORSB, bought July 14, with 2200 miles, I noticed this weekend when I really press the gas hard on the highway to pass another car, there's a really harsh jolt/clunk when it gears down, I think going from 4th to 3rd. Anybody else experienced this? I haven't had the tsb done yet because I haven't really had any other issues and since it's so new I was hoping it already had the new tsb update from factory. Will the tsb fix this? I can duplicate it every time i stomp on the gas and it feels/sounds really bad.

I don't think the TSB will help with that, I would be concerned with the fluid level

+1 on fluid level. It should downshift if it needs the power, but it should not slam or jolt like that. Get the dealer to do the TSB, but also make them check the fluid the proper way, don't let them tell you the TSB will take care of it, and don't let them just hook up to the computer either.

Mine gives a bit of a kick when downshifting a few gears, but nothing with a 'clunk'. I agree with what others have posted here. Maybe take one of the dealership ppl for a ride if they try to just pass it off

It's probably coolant in your transmission short circuiting the TCM and destroying the clutches, thus forcing the transmission into limp mode which results in you feeling the harsh downshifts.
