    Does anybody's truck make a knocking sound on the passenger side of the engine, toward to back of it the engine or is this normal? I know it is not the injectors or the catalytic converter. I would take it to dealer but they will probably tell me it's normal. I just wanted to see if anybody had heard it...

    all tore up already
    There are 2 other sounds it could be that ive experienced. Abs is insanely loud and quick to interfere. Sounds a but like a machine gun inder the hood. The other one ive heard is under heavy load at very low rpm just before it stalls it makes a loud unhealthy knocking sound. Only heard it wheeling, but it sounds bad. No idea what it is (knocking?) But it didnt seem to have long term effects

    Perfectly normal... that's the injectors self cleaning... and the sewing machine sound its trying to duplicate. Toyota FTW.

    Not the evap - that comes on 5hrs AFTER you shut the truck off and it sounds like there's a racoon in the garage .. Oh it's only the Taco.. she's lonely again.

    Never thought it would be the injectors cleaning them selves why would it make that sound yesterday was when I first heard it my truck has 11000 miles on figured I shouldn't be hearing that:lalala:
