i know there are plenty of other posts that come close to my problems but none that seem to describe exactly what is going on with my truck, here's my situation, I have a 2008 Tacoma 2wd 2tr-fe,manual 5 speed transmission. Just recently my truck started to have a vibration in the clutch, gas, and brake pedal when coasting at all speeds, the vibration can also be felt in the shifter but stops when the truck is not in motion. When coming to a stop the truck seems to shutter a bit, almost feels like I am about to stall out (in this situation the clutch is completely compressed, the truck is in neutral, and my RPMs drop to idle.) my clutch doesn't slip and seems to be in good condition. I was considering changing the transmission mount but it looks fine however I can move the transmission up and down about half an inch, should there be that much play in the mount?

I, along with many tacoma's had driveline vibrations. Shows up in weird places, making it hard to pinpoint. Turns out, I had two bad u-joints (front and rear). This seems to be the most common cause. If not this, then probably carrier bearing, aka, center support bearing. My u joints didnt have any play in them until i removed the whole drive shaft from the truck for a better look. So i reccomend removing your shaft and checking the u joints for play. There should be very, very little to none. Hope this helps

As far as the tranny mount, i have no idea. Check for loose bolts

I didn't want to but it looks like I'm going to have to take the drive shaft off to see. Hoping it's just something easy.

Turns out your were right. I'm almost positive it's my carrier bearing, there is a ton of play in it. I will be replacing it tomorrow, thank you for your help

No problem. But don't buy one just yet. I though it was my bearing so i bought a replacement. Found out it was the u joints when i removed my driveshaft to replace the bearing. What city do you live in? I can mail it to you if you're farther than i want to drive
