I have a 2015 DCSB 4x4 and I am planning on lifting it 3" with shocks/springs. I also don't have the ability to spend bunches of money.

On the back of my truck I have a topper and a wood sleeping platform in it, which adds some weight. Ideally I want to get 2.5-3" in the front and have the rear level or with a small rake. On my budget, I was looking at AAL packs, but from what I have seen most of those only get you 1.5-2" of lift to get you level. I am worried that if I go that route the rear will sag a bit lower than the front.

I know someone will say to just get a dakar leaf pack, but I was hoping to spend a bit less than that. Is there an AAL pack that will get me that lift? Or is there another option that is good as well? Thoughts?

3 leaf AAL isn't going to work for that kind of bed weight.

Get RideRite airbags for $300 +/, most cost effective solution for you.

I would not get an AAL of any kind.

Interesting.... Thanks for the reply. I haven't looked into those at all. Would air bags be suitable for going off-road at all?

I agree with him ^^^^ for the most part. I have a 2" AAL and it does a great job, but I don't have a load constantly in the bed. I think you could pair a 2" AAL with some sumo springs or airbags and be fine.

With those other options being expensive though, I'd just save for Dakars if that's reasonable. They're $425 from Headstrong Offroad with free shipping.

    Everything TW members recommend
I got 3-leaf AAL's two months ago and was expecting about 2" of lift and I got it.
    Fast forward to now
Just ordered Dakars, largely because I'm getting a plate bumper.

Yes but you'd need to add Daystar cradles, which are another $70 or so.

I had the 3 leaf AAL and now have Dakars. Dakars are a great choice if you have the cash. Like mentioned above, @HeadStrong Off-Road has them for a great price - and while the airbags are cheaper, adding cradles to that amount puts you really close to Dakars price wise.

If you can afford $375, I'd drop another $50 and get the full leaf pack. All Pro has a good leaf pack also that I'd recommend in addition to Dakars but I haven't used them on my own truck.

Dakar leaf packs - best option if you plan to carry a load in my opinion. My bed is empty most of the time. But I've had 400lb loads back there and not even seen the bed settle.

If it's worth doing - it's worth doing right.

And ditto about @HeadStrong Off-Road they hooked me up when I did my lift! :)

I am in the market for some rear leaf springs for my 2005 DCSB as well. I have the Icon coil overs in the front and would like to get rid of the AAL.

I have a RTT and I tow A boat from time to time. I want the rear to not sag like it is now.

Wondering if sending to Canada is any kind of issue at all.

I tired to PM you about the Dakars and the shipping to Canada but it is not allowing me to due to your privacy settings. If you have questions you can PM me if you would like.
