I think the ridgeline is fine. It has some pretty cool features. The best thing it has going for it is that's it's very practical. It's not a huge beast of truck, but it can still perform the basic functions of a truck. I can see why some people would like them.

I don't consider the Ridgeline to be a real truck. Just how the chassis construction is, along with the drivetrain. So I think the term 'truck' is used very loosely. I do think it is a nice, useful vehicle, however. There are plenty of people out there who don't need an actual truck but could still benefit from some of the cool features the Ridgeline offers. My only fear is that there are some many people out there that might sway the market further and further away from real trucks, especially the mid-size market. And that would be unfortunate. It has already been trending that way for quite some time.

A new bolt here, a new bolt there, a new bolt everywhere.
I like the older style Ridgeline the new one looks took much like a soccer mom(or dad) crossover with a bed attached. I want a truck that looks like a truck. Just my $0.02

I mean it's not a horrible truck. Nothing I would want from a truck and I'm not talking about looks. It's not going to do the things I want for hunting, being tough, and holding up going off road. Getting me out of tough situations without a sweat. I'm sure it's awd would be fine for the person who wants some help on the pavement when it snows a few inches.

But let's get to looks. Why the Fuck did they have to make it that ugly? Like why, what was the point?

Seriously it looks like a soccer mom SUV or minivan from the front. I'm not saying if its a good or bad vehicle, but if it doesn't look good then there's a huge problem.

I think Rigdeline is more of a crossover suv truck. It has independent rear suspension for better on road manners, fwd for better mpg. Not offroad capable as Tacoma. I like how the backseat folds up or you can put stuff under the backseat, the trunk in trunk is neat but the bed looks shallow and the front end looks unattractive like a minivan. They should of made the front end more truck like and solid rear axle imo would appeal more of the market, especially younger generation. I guess Honda trying to be different.

I don't understand the ridgeline hate. Some people don't wheel their trucks or require the ruggedness of the body on frame design. It's designed for your suburbanite that has their weekend home depot runs but drives to the office M-F. It's a pretty big market occupied by one manufacture.

Totally agree with this. I get the feeling the OP's intent was to stir up RL hate.

You're probably right! I've had El Caminos, a GMC Caballero and a Brat, so I can't say $hit but it's still funny. At least the new one is way better looking than the old one.

I just read this post and nearly pissed myself laughing. Its got some cool features though. I like the two way gate and the below bed storage. Here's why its not a truck. There's no ladder frame. The engine is transversely mounted. It's front wheel drive. There's no solid rear axle. There's no transfer case. I'll give the rear coil springs a pass since you can get rear coils on a Ram. I'd be happy to call it an SUV with a bed but never a truck.
