What would you recommend I replace when putting a new suspension on my truck? I have all original equip on my 2001 dual-cab 4WD TRD Tacoma with 307k miles. Actually I think I run a slightly larger than stock tire but it's real close to original.

depends on what you want. If you want stock height go with shock replacements from bilstein or I think Rancho makes a decent equivalent. for rear springs go with General Springs HD as they will hold more weight and last longer (http://www.generalspringkc.com/product_p/90-237hd.htm)

If you want a lift then start researching the forums and what ride quality you want.

    thanks @frizzman

I am looking to keep the stock height. I was wondering if everything needed to be changed and if so (which i expected would be the case) what exactly EVERYTHING was... Front shocks and spring for sure. Rear shock. Leaf Springs. Is there anything else? Appreciate the tip on the General Springs HD. I'll look into those for sure.

that should cover it, maybe someone else will chime in with thoughts.

you could even buy the fronts already put together and save yourself some hassle. one thing to keep an eye on is the bolts going through the rear leafs. sometimes they can rust or seize and you have to get new ones.

If you are doing the rear springs, get some u-bolts too, most people don't recommend reusing those. Also make sure the front springs and shocks come with all the hardware you are gonna need especially if you live in the rust belt (I had to cut several bolts off getting the coils out). And if you can, get the coils and shocks assembled, it'll save the hassle.
