I guess I am a day late and a dollar short... Will keep an eye on the thread for any new outings. Stock TRD Sport 2wd so I can't go where I usettago - ran all over the hills in the 60's in my willy's wagon, just moved back to realllllly south SD, how this area has changed. Told my wife that we now live in what was once was a cucumber patch that I hunted rabbits in. I guess you can't ride a bicycle around with a .22 rifle slung across your back anymore.

Up for easy rides any day of the week.

We are heading to Indio Saturday morning for the week, Brother-in-law is out from Ohio. Be back by next weekend. Too funny, with the teardrop I have the opposite problem. It only takes a couple hours to get things ready and you can pull over just about anywhere and sleep, cook, get clean - so all I hear is 'lets get out of here, I wanna go somewhere'

Just purchased an ARB Bumper for the taco. Anyone in SD have experience installing or recommend a shop for install in the area?

Shoot @Speed Freek a PM, he might be able to do it for you. Or give The Truck Shop a call, they've done some great work for me. If you have basic hand tools installing a front bumper isn't terribly difficult with an extra set of hands to help.

Ive been going to coral a lot and i've been dying to complete that last trail that you turned around. I am nervous because I believe I have found the bottom of that trail and it does not look like my truck is ready for the whole thing yet. Thanks for that whole video. That is the furthest point I have gone as well before turning around. Do you know of any videos out there with the whole length of that trail? I am determined to complete it but I feel as though my wheelbase just might be to long, strictly because I have no idea what the whole trail entails, that and the lack of armor and recovery gear. I have a 2016 tacoma trd sport stage 1 icon suspension, ad a leafs, upper arms, leveled out, and 33 inchers.

You'll be fine. The hardest part is right where @computeruser6 turned around, and I've done that with my truck with just the OME suspension and my mom did it in her 2nd gen with just ome suspension, both on 31's. Everything between the bottom of that rocky obstacle and the western end was easy, or at least easier than the obstacles before those rocks. This was a couple years ago, though, so things may have changed. And if you don't like the rocky obstacle it's super easy to turn around there, too, no biggie.

Super narrow, though. Expect pinstripes and to have to remove antennas! And good luck if you come across anyone coming the other way!

I've done this trail in a much smaller truck before and that last dropoff is literally the last hard part of the trail.

As far as pin stripes I am covered with them. I believe I found the bottom of the trail though where it connects to the lower trail and it has is steep with some rocks and drops that is very iffy whether I can trek it.....even tho I wanna attempt it so bad, I'm convinced I have a line picked though. I think I am going back on thursday, I send some photos of what I'm talking about.

Even the end of the trail where it connects to the other lower trails? Maybe the trail I found which I think is the bottom....is not even the bottom......
