    Here's the math I've done...

tacoma- 3200 in fuel 24000 miles

    138 a month insurance

    3200+1660= 4860 A YEAR

    ct200h - 1370 in fuel a ear for 25000 miles

    @ $19 for 389 mile

    est. 150 a month insurance

    22000- 22k miles premium @carvana
    4000 down
    300 a month - 72 months

    EST : 3600 a year + 1200 in fuel+ 1800 in insurance= 6600 a year

    Prius - 15000

    4000 down

    207 a month for 60 months

    1100 in fuel

    unknown to insure

est total 3500 ins not inc = A YEAR

    2012 Civic si 17k otd

    EST 2200 in fuel

    5000 down
    223 a month for 60 months

    year - 2200 + 2676 payments = 4876 w/o ins

    or

    4000 down
    204 a month for 72 months

    or 4808 = YEAR

    2012 Honda Civic EX
    1457 in fuel
    150 a month/ 60 months

Haven't added a new 2016 coupe but assuming around 1400 in fuel and maybe 300 a month depending on payment plan. But 10 year 100k warranty .

The same dealer offers20year/ 200k on new Kia's and Hyundais

OK, I put together a spreadsheet that shows how all this works out from a financial perspective. Looks to me like none of those options are cheaper than driving the Tacoma, at least for the first 8 years, assuming you have to keep insuring the Tacoma (and you don't spend any fuel on it). Of course, this doesn't take into account the comfort factor - you'll have to put your own price on that. :)

Here's a summary, and I've attached the spreadsheet too for ya, so you can mess with the numbers (change the blue cells, orange will recalc). Post a screenshot of what you end up with.

I say go to cragslist and find grannys civic. Offer her a grand less settle somewhere in that area, maintain it and be done. My step dad has had 2 civics, both over 250+ thousand and no issues. One of those was with me putting 80k on the clock...hard. Drove great and lasted.

Honestly get a newer used car or cash Corolla. I drive 200-300 miles each day and bought a cash Corolla and decided it was time to upgrade. I got a 2012 had Camry and with gas and car payment it's cheaper for me to drive that than pay for fuel in either truck plus I don't put extra miles on the trucks

Thanks bud, I was planning on selling the Tacoma. Maybe buy another truck down the road when I buy a house.

I really appreciate this . I'll post what I come up with. Probably won't be until tomorrow since I'm working a 24 today

    Well I sold the truck...

Gonna miss it. It really was a great truck.

Decided to be a responsible adult and bought this boring thing... for a good price

    Clean title
    75k
    One owner
    Clean carfax
    5 speed
    dealer maintained

Should last me a while, and give me enough funds for a house and eventually a new truck for many years down the road.
