Weld-on slider question...how much welding is necessary?

So I'm looking to purchase 4xInnovation's slider kit for my Tacoma:

    http://www.4xinnovations.com/2005--2016-Tacoma-Regular-Cab-Rock-Slider_p_76.html

After a lot of looking I have decided on these NOT because of price but the ability to fine tune them to where I want. I'm fairly OCD and want something angled up and sucked in just a tad more than what I'm able to find from the manufacturers out there. I have someone that can mock them up for me and weld them exactly where I want.

These sliders come with little square plates to weld to the frame. My questions is...is this sufficient to hold the weight of the vehicle? I've seen other bolt on sliders that have a portion that will go to the underside of the frame as well. Is this necessary for weld on?

Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks!

Totally sufficient. Make sure you weld the frame plates so they are like a diamond (vs like a square). This will make it easier to weld to the frame of the truck.
