    Hi Seabass
Some insurance companies will give you a less deductible fees, but zero,i doubt very much.
I founded this out from a dealer specialist that does winshield replacement for insurances.
So this thing a couple of months ago would have costed me 300 max, which was find, and reasonable.
    All the best

Must be a Canada thing. Every insurance company that I've had since I was 16 years old (and I had comprehensive coverage) always had 0 deductible for glass. I do hear there are some differences like this with the major Canada agencies. That's a bummer. But, I do pay twice as much a month as you do.

    I understand Seabass
Today,i had a price from another place in my town that does winshield replacement for over 25 years, and they gave me a 310 bucks plus taxes, including installation,so that will be my best bet.
So not yoo bad ,350 bucks with taxes should be ok.
So that is without going through my insurances, just direct.
    Thanks
    All the best
    Charly

My insurance(a large company like state farms) has a minimum $100 deductible, 0 is not even an option. A windshield INSTALLED is only $250, so if you pay more than that, you are getting screwed. The window tech for a local company says they really stick to people with higher deductibles and WILL charge more than it cost if you were self pay. Tacomas are some of the easiest to change, also, he loves doing toyotas they are so easy.

$250 for PNG glass though? That's what comes out of the factory, and what I always request. It's more expensive than the Safelite junk.

Pilkington. Same as factory without the "Toyota" logo under the brand. My insurance will NOT cover work done by safelite, because safelite sucks, unless you want a new side window, too.
