    Scratches, dents, lots of squeaks.
I have an 03 runner the has quite a bit of rust, but it is also 13 yrs old and has seen snow/salt every winter.

I just bought a 2014 taco with 30k on it. Frame already has rust on the wild lines and the exhaust has quite a bit or runt too. Would the exhaust possibly be covered under warranty?

How much rust of any are the others seeing on there similarly aged trucks?

Mines a 13 with about 55k miles and has very little rust. Some on welds. Some of the u jojnts because rhey are bare metal. All exhaust will rust unless they are stainless steel. I live in Pa where there is lots of salt used on the roads.

What's ever one doing to keep up on it? I have very little luck with searching the forum. Google seems to be better lol. I am sure I am about to receive 19 comments about how I should have used the search tool :) :crapstorm:

Fluid Film seems to be the favorite. Krown is another common one, I think. Something with a K.

    Have a 13'.

Leave springs are a bit rusty, just surface rust.

Had some rust on the welds, but used an inhibitor which neutralized it.

That being said, Im rust free. Guys on here swear by fluid film, I have yet to apply a single drop and my truck looks great (and I do live in an area that uses salt during the winters)

On my '11, virtually none. Welds have some rust, that's about it.

Same with my 2007... no rust at all. Like you the welds showed some but I touched them up around 7 years ago with flat black rustoleum.

Other than spraying the frame off a few times through winter months, I dont do anything to it. Most of the frame failures havent been due to surface rust, its been faulty frames that have rotted from the inside out around the catalytic converter. If thats gonna happen, theres not much I can do about it. As I said, I dont have much rust at all on the surface of mine.
