So the '16+ has the Fog Lamps fuse sharing the source power to the fog lamps relay pin 30 to lamps and the coil "trigger" pin 86 of the relay. Read Always Hot. Pin 85 of the relay goes into cab to the BECU, this makes it "impossible" to duplicate the '05~15 Fog Lamps ON with High Beams. So this scribble shows the wires from the relay to the connector slot and the wire returning from the BECU to the fog switch. The added relays are OEM function when vehicle is OFF. So you won't drain the battery during the day when you may not notice the fogs are left ON. When you add an IGN source to the added on-off switch you can disable the relays so you pass State Inspection as in Fogs OFF when High beams selected.

Those are schematics guys. And if my understanding of schematics is correct, I think we are officially apart of conspiracy to rob a bank.

Dear 3rd gen chaps, I would like to introduce our resident electrical expert, @caribe makaira ,all the way from Puerto Rico. Usually responds at a moments notice if you have a E question in a thread, night or day. I don't think he gets the credit he deserves. Has helped me many times. These are schematics and diagrams of the ends of electrical connectors and relays. The boxy looking bits with wires to and fro under the hood. At some point I'm sure this threads instructions will materialize into what the title denotes.

The on/off toggle will open the normally closed contacts; no switched ground will reach the fog relay.
Why not IGN tap to 86 and switched ground to 85?

I wish they used ladder diagrams/wiring diagrams instead of schematics.
So much easier to follow. (at least for me since I work with them all the time for motors and pump controllers)

is there a way where we can rewire the fog light switch that is on the light switch lever so that it
will turn on and off the fog lights independently with out having the ddl or headlights on?
or do we have to install a separate switch? we would need the color of the wire, ideal location to cut it
    and connect to relay info.
    thanks

The switch and relays is so you can have the OEM mode.
Otherwise, splice (1F)27 with (M6)26 at the Body ECU/Driver Side Junction. You won't have a dash indicator for the light though.
