They are "plug and play" as in, just splicing in the positive and negative to the factory fog wires.

So I've asked before on here but just to double check since the truck will be at the dealer on Friday for its 25,000 mile appointment: Is there anything I need to note to the peeps at the dealer about the skid plate for the oil change? From my understanding it DOES have a hole in the skid for access to the drain plug? Thanks.

Sure does have a hole to drain. As your drain plug is loosened it may spit a bit of oil onto the skid until the plug is fully out of the way. Don't quote me on that. I installed the fumoto vlv with nipple to attach a hose to ensure a clean drain. But yes, the skid has a hole to access the plug.

Sweet thanks man! Just knowing the dealer it wouldn't surprise me if they were stupid and removed the entire skid and then tried to charge me or messed up putting it back on, the dealer I take my truck to has lost a lug nut on my wheels once, and put wheel weights on that were rubbing the caliper, so I'm skeptical of them lol

Make sure to specify for them not to take the skids off. First time I brought mine is they wanted to and I told them just to use a socket extension and they gave me crap but did it anyway.

They do not, but they refer most of them to me, let me know if you would like one, I have done over 50 of them. And I can do it while you wait.

Wow, I would say it did its job! I can do the exhaust relocate for you if you are in the area. I have done 2 in the last 3 weeks, I use mandrel tubing so there are no restrictions in the piping bends.

Just let the service writer know that you dont want them to touch it or they will possibly remove it and they generally dont replace it when done BTW.

I noticed the high-clearance bumper for the 2016 is on the site now! When will the swingout tire holder thing be for sale? debating to order the bumper first or wait for it all to buy together.

I'm assuming this is what it will look like with a swingout...

With the 2 gens you can order the bumper with spindle first and the gate later (not advised, however). I'm not sure you can do the same with the 3rd gens as of yet due to the rear hc needs to have the spindle added at the time of fabrication in order to put the gate on.

For those of you running LED pods in your front bumpers, are you using spot or flood beam patterns? Seems like a flood pattern would be the most similar to a fog light but since the pods sit recessed by a couple inches does a flood beam get artificially narrowed to a spot beam anyway by the shroud created by the bumper?

I run spots. The light leaches out and creates floods anyway and then you can see about 3 feet further with spots.

So, my truck got hit by a forklift at work (cleaning staff contractor) in August. The company's insurance department finally mailed me a check for the damage. I'm thinking that instead of having a body shop return it back to stock, I might roll with it and get a plate bumper instead. I see that Pelfreybilt just announced this:

So I think I might have to!

I'm thinking aluminum plate because I'm keeping the stock TRD-OR suspension for a while.

On a related note, what should I do about the quarter panel rubbing my door (from the impact)? Not a body guy, can I massage this back into place easily? They were talking about replacing all of the trim and repainting that entire side of the truck, but I think it would look dumb since the whole truck's already pretty scratched up from desert bushes.
