So I have a 2014 regular cab 4wd with a half inch spacer leveling kit up front. It's been on basically since new and I had the truck's realigned after installation and it's never had an issue with uneven tire wear, etc. I recently picked up a set of new take-off TRD offroad alloys with Dunlops on them and put them on the truck and sold my FJ Cruiser alloys with BFG MTs.

Ever since, when the truck is parked on level asphalt, the tires look tucked in at the bottom and leaning out at the top (positive camber?). I know tires and wheels don't affect suspensions settings but just wondering if this is normal with proper alignment?

Finally, I may go get it aligned just in case since it's cheap insurance but I was wondering what specs I should tell them to aim for. I heard something like zero toe, -0.5 degree of camber, and max caster?

    Stock specs are just fine.

Those alignment numbers are for lifted trucks. 1/2" spacer and stock tires isn't anywhere near what kind of setup those numbers would benefit from.

so you bought new tires and wheels, put them on your truck and now you are noticing positive camber????

If this is the case... the offset of the wheels may play a part in the alignment...

Are the tires the same size as what you already had?

Also that's caster, not camber. It's noticeable on my truck, and is desirable on lifted trucks to help with road wandering.

I thought camber was the vertical position.... hmmm. haha.

I just got an alignment on my truck yesterday after putting a 3" lift on.
#positive camber (pic below is from before the alignment)

Rides way better and a bit less road noise now.

Well I'll be damned. My whole life is a lie! You're right, and so is OP. Regardless, it's still normal.

Thanks for the responses guys. The tires aren't the same size as my BFGs (255/75r17), these are the stock size 245/75r16. I know the tires and wheels didn't change the alignment, just made it more noticeable. I guest my main question then is positive camber normal while the truck is just sitting? It looks like Zac of all Trades' truck in post #6.
