    So does every taco have the taco lean in regards to the 2nd gen? I hear differing stories mostly people saying there is taco lean. But a few have told me they have not had a problem. I only ask because I am about to install my lift.

    If so, for a lift do most of you set the shocks to

    Driver side 3" total
    Passenger side 2.75"

    ?

    Set them the same then measure. If its off adjust and re-measure. when you get it where you want it then get it aligned and it should be good to go. I have just let my Taco lean for a while. it's not noticable unless you really stand there and look at it and has never bothered me but if you are bothered by it and going with new shocks anyway it should be simple to adjust while youre installing the shocks and get it where you want it anyway. Hope that helps! Need some Pics!

    A lot of people aren't as anal retentive as the ones that see it. For some people an 1/8", 1/4", or 1/2" or more isn't even noticeable. If you measure it should be there though. Just think, the Gas tank, Battery, and Driver are all on the one side. What is there on the passenger side to equal out the weight, the wiper reservoir, coolant reservoir, abs stuff, Nothing that adds up. Toyota didn't compensate for the weight with higher springs rates or spacers or anything.

    TLDR; Yes all 2nd gen tacos have the "taco lean" from factory, more noticeable with a full tank of gas {21 Gallons [US] = 175.250 Pounds}

    This may not be accurate. I read on this board that Toyota did compensate for the lean somehow. I just can't remember how or who it was that posted an explanation.

    Don't be surprised if your taco leans more after the lift is installed. May take some time to adjust.

    AFAIK 1st gen rear shocks are side specific (ones longer) but nothing suspension wise on the 2nd gens is side specific. If you could find what you read I'd like to read it.

    The stock coils on second gens are side specific. Aftermarket coils are not.

    Not sure. I know they are from at least 2010 up. No idea on pre '10's.

    3rd gen Tacos have the lean also, mine was 1/2" difference between fronts.
