These are Not DOT approved. Unfortunately DOT approved lights greatly reduce the performance and output of these lights. These are designed for off road use with the Sport being a little more Street Friendly.
It is up to driver discretion if they would like to use them on the street.

    Thank You,
    Bailey

Does this kit allow for some slight up and down movement for alignment purposes?

I'd want to make sure that both left and right sides are even and that I can direct them not to bounce off the ground too much and not to be too high towards on coming drivers.

    Quoted from General Discussion Thread:

    @Maximus

Since I did not see very many pics of the fog light kit on an '05-'11 Tacoma, I'll contribute some of my own shots.
I installed this kit yesterday- I have not been able to drive with them at night, yet but I did compare the BD Squadron Sport light to my stock fog light during the day. The BD are much brighter but not blinding.
The brackets fit the fog light buckets well. In my pics, there is a small gap on top of the mounting bracket only because I have them aimed down.
    10/10, would buy again.

There is slight adjustment in the bracket. It's definitely minor but can be seen in the above photos

Sorry to rehash an older thread, but I'm looking at the Baja Designs Squadron Pro for my Tacoma to replace the factory fog. I can't decide if I should go with amber of just white. I like the white because I feel like I need the extra light when I drive at night, but the amber is nice for driving in snow here in Utah (at least I imagine it would be). Anyone have any thoughts?

This is the reason I went with the Rigid Dually DOT. I can pop on an amber cover if I need it in inclement weather. Plus they're street legal and I won't get harassed by cops or my yearly inspection.

How do you like the Rigid's? Significantly brighter? I'm not old, but man I feel like I'm going blind at night and need all the light I can get (that won't blind others).

I run amber....if your gonna run them as fogs while on the street buy the sports not the pros. Even my sports are aimed all the way down to keep glare at a minimum.

brighter than stock fogs? absolutely yes. VA is pretty strict on this stuff come inspection time....so this gives me peace of mind. I was already told by Toyota those wouldn't pass...the I told the dumbass in front of the entire waiting room to check the lights and they say SAE DOT. now give me my sticker!! lol

No worries - thank you for posting up! I responded to your other post as well :)

If you're planning on using the lights on the street with other traffic, I'd highly recommend considering the Sports as they are considered street-friendly when aimed correctly.

If you do encounter poor conditions like snow the Amber will be beneficial in reducing glare.

One of the great features about Baja Designs (BD) is the uService Technology. This will allow you to change from Amber to White or White to Amber, all you need is one of our replacement lens kits and 10-15 minutes of your time. https://www.bajadesigns.com/products/Replacement-Lenses.asp

Let me know if you have any questions!

What do you recommend to install in aftermarket bumper? Calls for a 3.5" fog light I believe. Would like to be on-road friendly!
