    yeah I am just a rare forum lurker. Have not sat on it long enough to jump on a trip. I know a few old members but they haven't talked me into going to a event so I don't have a cool number. I am going to try to get one of @Mademan925 coins once he buys a set, hopefully I can earn it for something easy like have more whisky when he runs out of wine coolers ;)

    Curious, but what exactly do you get out the overland membership aside from that badass badge you stamp on your vehicle? Cause I was thinking of joining when I get my truck, but I just wanted some more info on it and couldn't find much info on the site besides overland swag.

    It's just another club. Becoming an official member is a way to support it. I think there's a Goal Zero discount. I'm registered over there but I haven't gotten a badge yet. I don't use the site enough so I'm still deciding if it's worth it. I think the intent of having people sport the badge is to build a community of people that want to be ambassadors for overlanding. Really it's just an expensive sticker to show off and maybe spark conversation :)
