Believe you have to use bolts instead of nuts though.
I need to do this upgrade. My 97 mirrors are a joke

1995.5 - 2000 have only the smaller manually adjusted and fixed position (lever) mirrors.

2001 - 2004 TRD off road models have the larger manual and electronic adj. folding mirrors.

ebay sells the larger, low cost, oem type knock off mirrors.
And tho' the housings seem an acceptable quality
They can be a hit or miss when it comes down to the clarity and quality of the mirror/glass.

The factory mirror glass tends to be the best quality available.

I only paid $ 55. for my pair (STMD)
    They are manual adj./folding.
Tho' the first pair the vendor shipped to me had a badly distorted view/reflection.
Returned/exchanged those for another pair and those were acceptable in their clarity/view.

But if one wants factory quality and the least distorted view...
You'll want to get the factory original TRD off road mirrors.
Salvage yards may net ya some decent used ones...
tho' they likely won't be cheap to buy.

I forget the ebay vendor I used.
as I've had these for more then a few years now.

    ebay example...
power and heat - defrost are options
and are offered by other ebay sellers.

But don't buy a powered mirror unless
    it can be adjusted electronically.
As the internal gears adjusting the mirror glass
can be difficult to adjust by hand.
And mirror glass breakage can occur when attempting.

My 1998 TRD (that I bought new) has remote adjustable mirrors.
