I did like Fast Lane Truck's comparison of the 1st Gen, 2nd Gen, and 3rd Gen - I thought that was pretty fair - and it showed that the 2nd Gen is still on par with the 3rd Gen's engine. These guys though are very sloppy with their testing though...its more or less one-off testing - way too much room for error, and they never present all their assumptions.

I still don't get why these guys haven't figured out to put the Automatic into 4th gear when drag racing to 60mph - the shifting is faster and the throttle is much more responsive since the gear-finding lag is defeated.

No shit.....I do not understand why they even bother with racing these factory trucks. Makes no sense. I can see if they were perfomance oriented vehicles like the HellCat or the Z06

I don't care about speed in the 1/4 mile with my truck.I care more about bearing noise when I take my foot off the pedal 45-60MPH+ and my dealer saying "they all do it" That will send me to Honda. We have a CRV and Honda has never said "they all do it", they just fix the dam vehicle

I raced my '93 K3500 with my Tacoma and left it like it was standing still, which it was 'cause I can only drive one truck at a time. Then I drank some robitussin and watched Giligan's Island.
    Ginger is hot.
    What were we talking about?

    Mary Ann FTW

And for the rampant teenage stranded on an island with her fantasies.

Ah well, since we are dreaming anyway, Ginger can join in too if Mary Ann gets tired.

Oh, and only if a time machine is involved. Ginger today looks like Skeletor.
