I need to do a wheel bearing on my 2010 4wd. Any opinions on Blue Pit vs. Jersey Built hub and bearing assemblies? Thanks for your feedback.

I know nothing about Blue Pit but Jersey Built worked fine 4 me - 2hrs on 1st side 1 1/4 on second side. Didn't even know Blue Pit existed - it was between Jersey Built and Alabama so I went with Jersey Built just cause I live in Jersey.

Thanks for the feedback. A guy I know with an adequate press and expertise has offered to rnr the bearings rather then doing the whole hub replacement.

Just installed a set of Jersey Built hubs on my 2010 4X4 at 80K miles. The difference was night and day. Kevin includes the O-rings and a new cotter pin and castle nut. Installation was not hard but I do beach driving and sand and rust complicated my removal.
The rotor assembly was rusted and would not come off by hand or with some careful tapping with a hammer. Then, I discovered an two 8mm threaded holes in the rotor and a bolt inserted here and snugged down will push the rotor off.
On both old hubs, the O-rings had broken allowing moisture (salty moisture) to rust weld the old bearing seat in place. It took quite a bit of persuasion using a chisel as a wedge to get the old hubs off. Once the old hubs were off I cleaned off the rust as best I could and coated everything with a film of grease and the new hubs went smoothly on. Really a huge difference in noise and steering feels much better.
    Kevin builds great Hub Assemblies.

Sometimes it's best to replace the whole assembly. Over time the internal seal can were a groove in the hub. Then the new seal won't seal properly and your new bearings won't last very long.
