So as promised I am posting a write up about these. Now as we all know finding steel wheels that actually clear the calipers of the second Gen tacoma in 16" can be frustrating and difficult. Hopefully this will help others make a wheel desicion.

I ordered these from 4wheel parts after spending hours scouring the Internet and this forum for conclusive answers to my wheel question, being in Canada makes things and extra challenge because wheels get exceedingly expensive once you bring them across the boarder. I went with 16x8 4.25 bs in an effort to eliminate my wheel spacers well its been a tremendous success and I'm here to tell you these wheels will fit no issues

great post! question for you, im in Victoria BC, how much did they come out to from ordering from 4wheelparts ( after tax and shipping?) did you try any local stores? also is it possible that a 16 inch wheel doesnt fit a 16 inch tire? or is pretty much any 16 inch tire going to fit a 16 inch wheel? ( not talking about truck clearance here, just technically speaking tire on wheel)

I ordered the Rims and tires out of 4wheel parts langley because they had a sale going on and no one else could touch the price, 288 per tire and 108 per rim came to 2160 after tax, tire warranty(which includes off road usage) and hippie fees, I know north Shore off road has them in stock and pretty sure Big Country Customs can get them as well. A 16inch diameter tire will fit a 16inch diameter rim it's usually the width that's the issue I went with the 8" wide rim as a poor mans bead lock, although I had my 265's on stock rims aired down to 10psi and never had an issue but bigger tires different issues can come up. Hope that covers what you're looking for

I snapped some clearance pics it's tight but clears

There's less than an 1/8th of clearance but they don't hit the caliper at all I took em off and checked yesterday. I still can't get over how awesome she looks now

Bringing this back to life, does anyone know if the D Windows w/ same wheel specs would clear? I'd assume they are the same but maybe they aren't?

Those looks so nice! They'll fit a '12 right?

And with steel you can use the TPMS right?
