Sorry for the noob question but i did search before starting this thread so here goes

    2007 taco
My left blinker stays on constantly, the only way to turn it off is when i switch it to hi beam mode and it functions just fine. I can signal left or right, turn wheel and lever snaps back. I checked the bulbs and all the fuses, nothing is blown.
    Help!!

    Welcome to TW

I'm going to go with that your truck has daytime running lights
In the 05-15 Tacomas the turn signals act as running lights
When you flip the signal they blink and then stay solid on when driving
When you flip your headlights on they turn off

(09-15 all came standard with these and the older models some rare ones had them)

Thanks for the welcome. Sorry forgot to mention. It doesn't have daytime running lights.

So the one light just stays on?
Even the arrow on the inside of the truck?

Yes. As soon as i turn key it automatically comes on without lever, Switch it to hi beam. It goes back to normal. Right turn signal functions fine. Friend said it might be a bad switch. But i have no idea where its located and how to tell if its bad

My money is on the bad switch since you can get it to go off by turning the high beams on. By bad switch he means the stalk that you actually use to activate turn signals/headlights etc. I would go to a junk yard and pull one from a wrecked Tacoma and give it a shot. They are pretty easy to swap out.

Thanks for everyones suggestions. Helped me narrow it down. I fixed it by spraying contact cleaner in the plug and terminal. I guess they were just dirty
