So i just traded stuff for a used silver outer trd skid plate. It looks like it's supposed to mount on the outside of my stock black skid plate, but it didnt come with any hardware, and it surely doesn't fit with what i have.

Am i missing something? I just watched a youtube video and the outer that the guy put on had brackets on the inside. I have a 2012, the trd outer plate i got came off an 06.

    Thanks

Are you sure it doesn't just replace the current skid plate?

No, it goes over as far as i can tell from the research i put in. I made it work, but it was a little bent, and i had to use longer bolts.
