I got rear ended and pushed into another car, no damage just that the front bumper valance fell off and has about 6 broken clips so i was thinking to leave it off and create something else for my license plate, maybe a led bar license plate holder or something, i dont feel like spending $200 for a new ugly valance, what u guys think what should i do?

Sorry for your loss... I was looking at my valence the other day and it was pretty loose already.. someone must have backed into me so only a few clips are loose/broken. It's a pretty flimsy deal for sure.

How did your rear bumper do ... they are really flimsy ...

I just bought a new plate bumper for the front to match my rear plate bumper. My front plate bumper will be ready to install once someone, or me f's up the front bumper. I'll be ready!

Youd be surprised i was hit by a older honda civic he was going about 25-30 miles an hour and i was at a complete stop it felt alot worse than it was i actually thought i was gonna walk to the back of my truck and see my rear bumper on the pavement but to my surprise i had only a few scratches and i buffed them out the next day, he went under my truck for the most part and hit my trailer hitch assembly, his whole front end was damaged and bent pretty bad im pretty impressed with the toughness of my tacoma.

Wow you got lucky.. I got hit on my rear corner area .. hardly a scratch but everything underneath was broken and out of shape. The plate bumper was cheaper than replacing the OEM stuff. 25mph .. that had to hurt. Was he texting and driving?

He said the sun was in his eyes and he didnt notice we all had stopped in front of him, its unfortunate his daughter was pretty shaken up, ya i checked my bumper and under neath and everything looks intact and the body frame looks straight so i was lucky and made it out with only a few scratches on my truck as for me my back was hurting the next day but im good now, life goes on .

your insurance should cover front and rear. Also, this is why I stop very far from the car in front of me, especially if there is no one behind me

And watch the rear view mirror for idiots not paying attention.... I've actually avoided major damage just by pointing my vehicle to the side of the road and leaving foot off brake (manual transmission) while the person behind me looked up and it was way too late....
