I have no clue what happened to my truck yesterday. I plugged my scanner (snap-on) in to the OBD and it fired up. I cleared my code for O2 sensor (ripped off when off-road) and went into the ECM section to live data so I could watch voltage for a new O2 sensor.

    2003 2.7l 4wd, 125K miles
Truck ignition on, not running, scanner ran auto check for ECM, ABS and Body module. Cleared code then went into ECM module to pull up live data.

I left the truck for 2 minutes to grab some tools and when I returned the scanner said lost communication. I unplugged the scanner, turned truck off, turned it all back on again and ran scanner. The auto-scan paused on ECM for about a minute then skipped past it and did ABS and Body module. Multiple other attempts including pulling terminals, pulling and checking fuses and relays, checking battery voltage and other things and still nothing.

Truck turns over but nothing else. I have no clue what happened just that all of a sudden with no trace the ECM is gone. I do have power to OBD port and I can communicate with other modules just not the ECU.

I only had a little time today to look it over and tried checking voltage in OBD port ECM (pin 15?) and no voltage. What next? Pull ECM out? Possible just fried?
