That's what I thought too at first - I couldn't determine whether they were Mcneil or Glassworks that's why I posted it up here lol.

Looks like the previous owner tried mounting them doing the least work possible instead of a little trimming. I think the fiberglass repair kit might work but I don't think it's a great long term solution and will probably crack down the line along the edge where the old fiberglass meets the repair kit. If anything I'd try to make a a small bracket that reaches a little further in to the main fiberglass mounting area.

Thanks for the idea. Maybe some ideas will come up when I test fit them!

It won't take much to make better glass supports than stock. Just a little understanding and planning and I think it should be sub 300 bucks for worth supports.

Are you saying it would cost $300 in materials to make some fender supports? I've seen bedside brackets that hold them in place welded to the frame or bolted to the bed but I didn't know that people add additional fender supports. If so doesn't $300 sound like a lot of money? It seems like it would cost around that to have someone fab some up if not install them as well. Anyway it feels like the time at which this thread was posted and the term "worth supports" may indicate some sleep deprived posting lol. I'm going to bed after getting ready to dj my friend's wedding for free. Gotta get up in about two hours

Yeah, I was figuring the cost of having someone make them. I don't know what your ability is for fabrication. Material to make them would probably be $20.

They look great, but I have seen sets that's required a ton of work to make fit like factory. Fit isn't near as as good as glassworks. It does seem like they are becoming one of the go to fenders since glassworks customer service is garbage. I've never seen fiberworx caps

I had a set for my truck but sold them (was gonna take too much work to get a fit close to factory) Got two sets of used glassworks. I helped a customer install a set and have talked with one of the big Toyota long travel companies which I'm a vendor for in depth about them making the switch from glassworks to fiberworx and the issues they've had, last time I was down their picking up parts. The areas I've seen that have the worst fit on the fiberworx fenders is the area around and below the headlights.

It really depends on your idea of good fit. I have a buddy that installed a set pretty easy and is happy with the fit I think they could use a little work, but everyone's got different expectations.

Would you recommend it than glassworks? Iv just been hearing non stop reviews on they horrible customer service and I wouldn't want to give my money to a company that would take years for me to get my fenders. I just want a full detail on fiber works product

Ohh ic, so here's the big question, which fenders fit the best and requires little trimming? I know that's a general question and not all glass fenders are equal but I'm trying to get the general idea of both companies fiber works or glass u limited. Or even other companies

Hannemann has outstanding quality and customer service. When I was ordering mine, I looked into all the main brands listed here and NONE returned any phone calls except Hannemann. The other companies really pissed me off since customer service is pretty important to me over price. Ive had other ppl see my glass in person who have McNeil and fiberwerx say they would order mine if they could do it over again. It had better lines, less gap, and built in trim that shows the added details and care.

these are old pics but you get the idea

If I was gonna go glassworks I'd order thru kartek. Most have good results through them. You also could try sdhq.

I personally prefer the look of fiberworx they are my favorite looking fenders. I just didn't want to pay my body guy to rework them. It wasn't worth the extra time and money for me. But I'm pretty picky about fit. If you want the easiest to fit fenders go glassworks. If you want the more aggressive looking fenders and don't mind the extra work go fiberworx

Isn't the Hanneman glass only like +2? Anyone with an LT kit is gonna be poking out way past those...

    I got got the 4x2.

they prob arent most suitable for LT, you're right, but for MT which most ppl on here run they are an appropriate looking fender.
