So I bought an Icon AAL for my 2011 tx pro Double Cab Short bed and then found a local guy selling the OEM leaf springs from his 2016 double cab, based on what I have read and called around to find out they are supposed to swap straight across. But upon inspection the current leaf spring on my 2011 has 2 leafs plus the overload and the 2016 has 3 leafs plus the over load? Doesn't seem like they are interchangeable to me? Am I wrong? Pics below

    Current set up

My ultimate goal is that I am putting 5100's with a new coil up front and was wanting to put the AAL in the back to level it up( 2.5-3 in front and 1.5 in the back). Any thoughts?

They will be as long as the length and center pin position is the same.

I have the Canadian TRD spring pack, which is 3 leafs plus overload. I added a Trail Gear 2" AAL/1" block and it performs flawlessly. I also have Air Lift bags in there as well; and run 15 lbs. PSI unloaded, but my truck is lifted and has shite on it.

Go big or go home, so go with the newer 2016 leaf pack and call it a day. You won't regret it.

    Cheers!

BTW, these springs look like wet noodles:

Don't use them. They are toast.

Thank you. I figured the same about the 2011 springs that's why I picked up the 2016s.

You don't need fancy pants expensive leaf packs to make it work, and work well:

The2" AAL was cheap, but the chainsaws and dump trailer..... not so much.
