I've been on here for a little while but just don't really post much. I bought a 2015 Tacoma right before the 2016's came out. I've made a few small changes so far. I really love this truck. I've had 2 4runners, an FJ, and still have an 80 series landcruiser and a 2015 Camry XSE. There's just something about this Tacoma that makes me want to drive it more than anything else I've had or have.
    "Mods:"
-TJM Yulara rooftop tent and all pro bars to the hold it over the bed. Purchased from puretacoma.com.
    -ARB freezer/fridge 50qt. Love it!
    -Cobra 75 cb
-Blue sea fuse panel for cb and fridge
-Tablet and mount for torque pro app and backcountry navigator
-I will prolly add a 3" lift in a few months. I have some new Goodyear duratracs (285/70/17) from my FJ that only have 9100 miles on them that I'd like to put on the tacoma but it doesn't look like it's easily done from what I've read. We'll see.
-Other stuff would be max Trax, front bumper, lockers, all the other stuff I can't afford. I try to spend my "extra money" on trip costs like gas and camp site fees for my 2 year old and I.

I hear a lot about PK. Pretty isolated out there? Primative camping to be found?

Yes there is. The brazos river authority has several really nice parks with primitive camping. All the parks have very nice bathrooms and a couple of them even have showers. Most of the sites have a covered picnic table with fire ring and small bbq grill. They are all free from labor day to memorial day. During the summer there is a small fee to camp at North d&d sand sandy beach parks (they have the showers) but the rest are still free. Camping out here during the summer is miserable though because it's way to hot and there are people camping back to back. During the off season you'll likely be the only one in a park or maybe you and a couple other people. Every park is on the water so you can fish, swim, etc. There are boat ramps at every park also. I have plenty of info if you want a specific campsite that is the best. The picture is an example of north d&d park where I like to camp. You can see the tables and water. This park also has a big play ground for the kids. You will almost always find deer in the parks too.
