Like mentioned, the low price seems to make up the mpg hit u get from using e85. E85 has less chemical energy density from what I understand, and our motors and ecus are not optimized to use its strengths (not high compression or advancing timing or running the block a bit hotter) but all that is null when you zero out your timing retard and go romp on the truck and know ping is not even near happening.

Oh and yeah you need to run about 30% more fueling to run a stoich ratio so your fuel system needs to be up to par, and e85 is corrosive, use an e85 friendly pump, injectors etc and might even have to upgrade lines, fuel rail etc from heavy usage.

Looots of e85 knowledge out there from lots of gear heads running it.

Yeah I think the only conceivable downside is you'll blow up your motor because you can push it so hard.

well that and they usually actually don't sell e85 in the winter because it is harder to crank (usually about e70 from what I gather) so if you have a tune just on the very top side of safe and get a batch with 15% less ethanol you may run into some issues that require a large box to put pieces in. I think this happened to superwerty

Yeah I suppose that's an issue although I would think due to the cooler ambient air in winter you wouldnt be dealing with as high a magnitude of pinging issues as summer. Yeah that's pretty annoying though, especially if you're tuned at that upper edge like you mentioned. I think I would need a fully forged build before I could properly utilize ethanol anyway.. I can dream though.

    Still don't have money :D

And I think I'll take the turbocharger-kit off of the current engine and stick it on the fully built one once I have funds to actually build the spare engine lol

As far as custom fabbed parts go, I've started "prototyping" if you will, a new design for the plastic trim around the shifter. IMO that space is wasted, especially on bench seats which dont have that nice arm rest/center console piece. I don't really use the cup holders (except to put my phone in) so In the design I made I did away with them and replaced that area with a deeper recessed area, I also put a little tray up in from of the shifter for smaller stuff like a phone or something. The thing that sucks is, is that I have a 2wd drive auto, Which means this thing I'm making wont fit a 4x4 manual or auto... Eh who cares though, I'm really making it for myself and hoping other people will like the idea lol

And why not buy a performance car? Well because I need a truck for where I live and what I do on a daily basis, a car simply wouldn't work in my life, as weird is that sounds. So in my desire for goin fast I mod my truck since its what I have :D

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
If you are building an engine, keep the turbo on the truck, turn up the boost, and have fun blowing it up :D

I think conditioner would be better for a healthier shine or atleast 2 in 1

So I've ordered 2 oil drain flanges now and both were two big, or the bolt holes are spaced too far apart. Wtf? There doesn't seem to be any measurements listed on any of these in the first place. Need something that has a slight bend and is a long solid piece. Halp

And you're looking for the drain correct?

If so, this one appears to be correct. The bigger T4 drain flange is longer and doesn't have flat edges unlike the GT28-35 turbos which have flat edges on the drain flange and are shorter, I learned that the hard way as well :D

That's what happens when you run out of money lol. No updates atm, I'm about to install a boost controller to turn it up to like 5psi or so vs 2psi. Im also about to go pick up the spare motor, maybe next weekend? Other than that I'm still saving for the AEM F/IC injectors etc, Im also rendering a video as we speak so that should be up in a matter of hours.
