2016 Factory Tonneau Cover Short Bed Columbia SC

Selling my factory tonneau cover from my 2016 TRD OR. Trading the 2016 up for a 2017 and the 2016 cover does not fit on the new truck. Nothing is wrong with the cover, just don't want to give it back to the dealer with my trade-in. $400 firm, which I believe is priced to sell. I'm located in Columbia, SC and I won't ship it. Local pick up only.

 

Just curious why you think it won't fit on the 17?

 

The 2016 has little hooks built into the bedliner that sit on the sides of the bed. Those hooks clip into the tonneau cover. The 2017 trucks don't have the hooks built in and the service department says they can't order a kit. They'd have to cut the bedliner and do it. The want to charge me $350 to do the cutting work and they will depreciate the trade in value if I use the hooks from my 2016.

 

You'll just have to swap the rails over that's all. That's what people have been doing when selling. Not all 2016s have that rail so you cant just sell the cover itself.

I used a dremel tool on my rails and it looks like it came from the factory.
