Hunting season and your DCSB Taco

Hiked some elevation today looking for dusky and franklins grouse. Started at the trailhead at 6,131ft, hiked up to 7,195. Total trip was 6 hours and I covered a little over 8 miles. Dog did 24 miles, lol.

Found and bagged one grouse. Really windy, even in timber. 40 degrees in the a.m. too.

Good for you. I went back to the sunflower field for dove today but a recent storm pushed all the local birds south and the northern birds haven't come down yet. The only time I've ever come back from the dove fields empty handed. Strange weather so far this year.

 

Doing some solo duck hunting/scouting this weekend.

Your elk are a lot smaller than ours! You didn't bend your tailgate?

 

Well they are spikes so there only a year old, no tailgate is fine.

 

Use the old 03 Tacoma for hunting, usually feral sheep and bird
