Any current TRD Pro owners noticing the issues other 3rd gen owners are complaining about (hood rattle, diff howl, LCA howl)?

Some of the issues with other 3rd gens are slightly concerning to me, but I haven't seen anybody with a Pro complaining about them.

the hood rattle problem was only on the non-scoop hoods.

As for the diff and LCA problem, they weren't on every truck.

Anyone know any dealers in FL that have any of the super white pro on the lot to sell? Trying to track one down... missed one by a few hours in SC. :-(

the 2nd gen seems retro compared to the turd gen.. the s-4 mode. is a gear limiter. if its in s-4 it wont go into overdrive gears...

when you go to s-mode. the gear limiter starts at 4th gear. it wont go into 5th or 6th gear. you can go up or down from there. if you go up to s-6 you are disabling the AI (adapt drive ) mode which i m told adapts to the drivers habits from the first 1k-2k miles. i like to drive in s-4 around town sometimes in speed limit areas around 30-40mph so it wont go into 5-6th gear overdrives gears at these lower speeds. its also good for monitoring or maintaining speeds . if u ever have a cop behind you and the speed limits 25 miles per hr drop it into s-3 and it will perfectly drive at 27 miles per hour. really cool feature but i suggest driving your truck only in D mode for the first 1k-2k miles during the adapt learning. but im not an expert on that.

seth, no sales tax for oregon residence, and the 6-7 local dealers I inquired all were selling at mrsp. Trick is if they had unsold allocations

Does anyone know the ramifications of removing the roof rack that some TRD Pro's are coming with as installed options? like leaving holes in roof, etc. I am thinking about trading my current Tacoma for a Cement Pro that has both the roof rack and side steps installed as options. I would prob just remove both things. I really wish some of these trucks didn't come with this extra BS installed.

I love m/t more than anyone, on the right vehicle.
I traded in my 16 off road with a/t for a 17 off-road with a manual trans, for no other reason then I wanted a m/t. But, I've decided, sadly, I don't like the manual trans on the Tacoma.
I actually am going to cut my losses and trade the 17 off-road for a TRD pro with an automatic trans.
There's a bit of nostalgia that makes the m/t so appealing I think. But at the end of the day, on the Tacoma, it's a chore to deal with, for me.

Well went down this morning to a local dealer to check out a Cement Pro auto that popped up last night on Cars.com. Been thinking about trading my current truck for a Pro since I really need a double cab, plus we just bought a boat and using my current truck is just way to impracticable( hauling four people longer then a few miles) This Pro is really exactly what I have been looking for. The only accessories added are all-wx floor liners/door sill and mud guards. The Pro is enroute to the dealer currently and is due @ the dealer the week of Oct 1. Salesmen says it could show up this week. Selling price is MSRP $44,038 even though their website shows a discount of $2502 with a selling price of $41,536. I questioned him about, but said it's a mistake. The only real issue with the deal is the trade in value for my Baja. Initially they offered me $27,000 and went up to $28,000. I have put down a deposit to hold the deal, but haven't totally committed.
