Hate to admit it. It's all I had. Got the driver bolt cut. What a huge ordeal! Get the new leafs onand calling it good for tonight. Saving passenger for tomorrow. After I go get real blades. Or, that mother can get burned out.

I have yet to ever get any of those Spring hanger bolts out .

These seize to the metal sleeve in the bushing adding 10 plus years of winter chemicals does not help

I found the easy way is cut off the head cut off the back as close to the hanger with a cut off disc and grinder

Pry the hanger apart pop the spring out throw the old ones in the scrap pile.

(Photos on my phone, post them in a bit) Thanks for all the help guys!
So, I bought a grinder and a couple metal cutting wheels. It was like a hot knife cutting thru warm butter. Should have started this way. Got the leafs installed yesterday. Drove to work today and decided to inspect after driving a whopping 7 miles. I have a negative arc. Brand new toytec expo leafs. This can't be right. Is the truck loaded you ask? Nope. I have a shell that weighs about +/- 100lbs, spare tire and +/- 30lbs of tools. Can't be right. I sent an email to toytec asking for info and help on this. Haven't heard back from them yet.

I really don't want to do this over.

Used a sawsall on every one I've every removed. Would have used a grinder if I owned one then. Replaced with greasable bolts. One of the worst jobs I've every done on a tacoma.

When I did my springs (Wheeler's 5 leaf) I talked to the guys at Wheeler's about this. It's not a defect according to them, although many people seem to think it is. I also have a shell, and frequently overload the truck. Had them for years and they still ride great.

OME. Not complaining about the ride, actually feels better and axle wrap is not there anymore.

Dakars are flat springs. Looks normal to me. Might look into the AAL if you need more capacity.

I'll take a more gooder picture.
Thought about putting either my aal on or an added leaf (top leaf) that I have lying around. But nixed those ideas for various reasons. Mainly thought these as purchased would be perfect.

Hard to get a reasonable picture with all the stuff in the way. Passenger side looks better.
    These are OME.
If they ride, they ride flat. Just wanting too make sure they're within parameters of 'normal'. If flat is the norm then, down the road I may put my extra aal on or the top leafs. Or both, just for shits and giggles.

What will REALLY annoy me is when I load the truck and still have a lot of sag. That's the main reason I got this leaf set.

They look normal to me. Mine are the same way. They have a little tiny bit of a "w" Shape to them. I read somewhere that is normal for these springs. Look through the 1st gen OME setup thread and I think you'll find more of the same.

As for the sides being different, they are side specific. Did you install the correct spring for each side?

Yes, exactly! A "w"shape! You nailed it. Yes, on side specific. I went so far as to write on them with a grease marker 'driver' and 'pass' because I knew I was bound to screw that part up.
    Looking up different forums now.

I think I have just resigned to the fact that this is the normal.

Although my leafs are not OME, they look exactly the same, truck loaded or not. Ends of overload leafs must point down in order not to damage the leafs above when engaged. It would be interesting to hear response from Toytec. Side specific (gas tank compensation) can throw you if your not paying attention. You are good to go.
