    It allows you to lock your tailgate to deter opportunist criminals from theft of anything in your bed if you have a cover and from stealing your tailgate.

    Sorry about that Steve. My offer of free installation still stands though. I love working on my truck but really should cut back on spending money on it. So to solve that problem, help mod other people's trucks haha but seriously I don't mind helping anyone local with their Tacoma projects.
