Personally I'm gonna wait a couple months to order the 4.0s. Let the kinks get worked out and all the extra mods to be figured out so I won't be having to take them back apart. :D Even though I know TRS has amazing QC I just always wait a couple months to purchase new products no matter the line lol

Question. I just started my project and have been searching to find an answer but not succeeding. Where does the demon eye wire go through. I have ds2 minis with pano shrouds. The projector wires are going through the small hole but I have no idea where I run the demon eye wire. The demon eye module is attached with a bracket that came with my kit and the wire seems to get pinched if I try to fit it through the hole with the projector end. Thanks all.

Edit: I realized I should be a little more clear. I am trying to figure out if I drill a hole, notch the existing hole, pinch the wires ect. What did others do. Thanks again for the assistance.

I usually just notch the existing hole and run the wires out the side. Then put some silicon around the wires (you probably don't need to do this).

Are you prepping the reflector bowl for paint other than a good alcohol wipe down? I didn't on my first go around. Now that I have to reopen, I'm going to touch up a few chips that happened on the outer bezel and the shroud. Wondering the best way get a good application.

Wipe down and adhesion promoter before paint. I have heard that you can take the chrome completely off by soaking it in bleach for a couple hours.

I used oven cleaner to strip the chrome. Gave a good wash. Let dry then applied self-etching primer with krylon fusion paint.

Did anyone have to trim down the panorama shrouds? Mine don't seem to fit well. Also, in the kit came a round aluminum ring. Do I use that instead of the hex ring?
Or should I fit the shrouds on the projector first then put into the housing. I'm not sure what secures, the projector against the housing or the shroud.

Does anyone have a good guide for aligning projectors? I tried the whole "wing it" technique the first go around and as one would imagine, it turned out like shit. I am redoing them and will be ready for the alignment and final installation tomorrow.

You're good, man! This method is extremely accurate. I had my co-worker who's got a 2016 Tacoma park next to me at work so that I could compare my aftermarket retrofits with his OEM, and the cutoff was precisely lined up!
