I wish I had the money now. Spacers and blocks makes it have the worst ride ever.

3" Toytec spacers, Bilstein 5100s in the back with add a leaf and overloads removed.
Spacers are the devil. I hate em but don't wanna replace them til I can get coilovers.

Yeah, I never would have believed it if I hadn't seen them on yours lol. Wasn't really in to black wheels before but I've got a whole new appreciation for them now. :D

Getting ready to move in the next couple weeks and kinda scrambling to decide where! It's all about packing and looking now-guess the shell just isn't in my cards for the time being. :(

    Howdy folks,

My goodness there's some sexy DC Tacomas up in here, really nice trucks, ya'll. 1st gen DCs are a beautiful thing, in my opion. I'm new to Tacomas and this forum, learning my way around both. Came across this thread so I thought I'd post up.

Just got this '01 with 166K miles, mostly stock in pretty good condition. Some minor body damage on driver's side, but otherwise in good nick. It even has a factory electric sun roof! I'm the third owner, PO put these newer (4Runner?) wheels and tires on it. Frame is in good shape. Looking forward to getting her mechanically up to speed (although she's good as is)...and eventually doing upgrades or mods as they seem appropriate. I've never been one to go whole hog on modding a vehicle and I tend to go a more 'modified stock' route (I've had a ton of dual sport and classic Honda motos and loved tweaking those). So I'm gonna drive her for awhile, observe what others have done and said, and let the infinite knowledge and experience of this forum sink in a bit.

I very specifically held out for a DC, along with the other stock features this girl has (boy howdy these things are getting hard to find!). I tested out an extended cab and I could tell straight away it wasn't gonna work. Don't have kids, but the wife and I do have a three legged cattle dog that would not be happy getting in and out of an EC :) I LOVE THIS TRUCK!!!!

    Cheers
