I guess if you found another 2014 manual member to swap it may work, otherwise I could understand the extra trouble being to much.

Personally, I don't think they are giving you enough. They are gonna turn around and slap a 34-35 price tag on that thing....what they let it go for is another story. But they won't budge much I'm sure. Your truck is clean, still new and unabused, and that unavailable hard to come by TRD supercharger tops it off. Sure they'll tell ya "we can't give you more for your mods" or " nobody will want that truck with it on there" but that's exactly what they are gonna stress in thier advertising when they throw it up for sale.
I'd sell it outright. But it's your truck man. And trust me, I know how bad it feels to really want that new one your eyeballing on the lot.....(TRD PRO). ....I get it. It just really comes down to how bad do you really want it.
28 isn't exactly chump change either. Are you getting a good deal on the PRO?

    I hear you!!! I don't think so either!!! I haven't totally committed to the deal, so I have a week to chew on it. A good deal on a Pro :}
I guess if you call MSRP a good deal..No extra add-on charges which is always a plus. The only thing that is really keeping me interested in trading it at this price point is the tax credit/saving's of $1800. It's funny, they really didn't try to give me the song and dance about the SC which I was expecting. The salesman came back after talking with the manager and asked how much the SC cost. He spit out the number of 5 grand before I could answer. It was just a little different with this truck. I have traded a fair share of vehicles over the years, but have never as far as I can remember been asked how much do I want for my trade before a initial number comes back from the appraiser. I should have spit out a freaking high number to start.....From must of the sources, KBB, NADA, all hovered around $25,000 or so for a excellent TRD OR. I did find this site however that a least has the Baja pkg, and other options that apply..

Msrp I'd say is great considering how much everyone is saying those things are getting marked up all over the country....so if your getting it at that price, consider yourself lucky. I'm fairly positive your salesman knows exactly what that S/C ran ya as well.....once he made a pit stop over to the parts dept to ask those guys. He ain't that stupid, he just wants you to think he is. Trust me those guys know exactly what you have into that truck.
What are you thinking you may do?? You know they are gonna start blowing your phone up soon!!! Any interest on your truck yet privately yet?

That's what I was thinking. You sure you could handle downgrading to the torqueless 3.5??

Nope!! Nothing yet on the private sale side....Earlier this evening I listed it on Craigslist for $32,499. @ that price point I would be $2000 over the trade-in deal considering the tax obligation taxed @ 6.75% on the purchase price of truck. I did throw down a deposit on the Pro, and it sure would be nice to get a buyer sometime this week.. What I would love to do since the dealer is so close to me is to do a "Pass through" deal at the dealer with a private buyer. Basically, they touch the truck(buy it from me at agreed price private buyer and I do) then sell it to my buyer. It's a win win for both parties! I save $ on taxes and get a crap load more money for my vehicle. The dealer deals with title transfer, etc. No waiting with sending in payoff check to bank since there is a lien on my truck.

That's a valid point. I haven't driven the new 3.5 yet, and I have given that a lot of thought as well. Will I be able to live without the SC as well as the manual tranny. As much as I really hate to get the auto, I really need it from a practical standpoint....Wife can drive it, and it would be much easier to pull the boat with. Backing the Baja up my inclined 150 foot inclined driveway with the man tranny is pain in the ass.. Can you say smelly burnt clutch!!!

Just bought a 2012 Baja Access Cab (auto) today for my wife... :taco: Funny because with all my research focused on 3rd gen and while I had decent good knowledge of 2nd gen model variants I did not really know what exactly Baja is until yesterday

Was going to pick a 2013 TRD Sport, but last minute changed the plan... could not resist the red :) The truck is in a pristine condition - like 99.9% perfect (only some paint bubbling on the rims), 50k miles, still under powertrain warranty till for another 8 months, 3rd party warranty (7y/100k powertrain & 1y/12k bumper-to-bumper). $23.1k+tax... I guess a decent deal. Below is a quick pic.

Im sad to see a nice fellow Barcelona with a charger possibly getting traded in! It will be quite an adjustment going from a stick SC to stock auto, but it might save you on some clutches. Lucky for me that the 3rd gens don't hold that much appeal to me over my truck, or else Im sure I would be in your shoes. I would def hold out and do a private sale if you can, granted I don't really trust the dealership that much. I agree as the others have said, the dealer is going to talk your truck up like crazy with that SC the second you hand it over.

:rofl:Was just offered $23,000 from a local dealership to buy my truck. I listed my truck on Autotrader, as well as Cars.com this morning. So this bullshit, as well as some scammer texting me earlier about paying with Paypal...Blah Blah... The exact reason I hate selling cars privately......Oh yea, and I forgot the marketers that call wanting to help to sell your vehicle....Sigh...

Maybe this is a sign to keep yours and skip the PRO.

Lol, yeah that's the draw back of selling a car for sure. Hopefully the dealer that has your PRO will sweeten the deal with a couple more grand your way to make things work. That, or, hopefully someone here on TW sees what a fantastic truck you have and buys it from you.
If it comes to it, you can always accept the deal they gave you......but not before you hopefully fight for a little more:thumbsup:. Again, personally I think you should keep it. .....Just cuz it's badass and you got a lot into it. But...
Hey bro....you only live once!!! Get what you want. That's the attitude I had when I was debating spending 5 G's on forced induction. Either way you go I'm in your corner cuz you'll have a sweet truck in the end.

Thanks man!! It's never easy letting these kind of vehicles go...I have a long history of having a hard time parting with rare vehicles. Integra Type R.. a older STI, and prob the most difficult was a 05 Mitsu EVO MR....Anyway, I did talk to the salesman this evening and they are not coming up at all on my Baja value. I did have a fellow member here inquire about my truck this morning, so at least a little action on the front.

Dam, those were some nice cars and all I'm sure obviously very hard to let go. Well at least you know where they stand once and for all. Hopefully the member will come through for you. :fingerscrossed:
