I've got the Maestro iDatalink in the install. The wiring instructions indicate there should be a 20 or 24 pin connector that I can tap into. Any idea where I find that?

I'd like to get it hooked up so I can have cam anytime as well as reverse function. I found the thread on the kick panel connections, but that only enables reverse function on the HU.

I've spent the last 2 days searching for an answer here.

Super late into this, but do you have the backup camera that shows up in the rearview mirror?

I don't think it was the entune, but the guy said it was an upgrade. I saw that thread above and did find the shielded wire in the A pillar. I just need to locate the 6V power wires, since the Maestro will power the cam for cam anytime.

There are 2 plugs in the A pillar, and the non camera one has 2 6V wires but they are tied to the ignition. The camrera does not go out when I DC that plug though. IS the camera powered all the time or only when in reverse?

You shouldn't need to find 6v wires, everything should be fine with the maestro. The camera also only receives power when you are in reverse. If you want the camera to be switchable there is more work to do and I do not know which wires you would have to tap for that. What type of head unit are you connecting to?

Duh, I can't read apparently. Just need to use an RCA cable to tap into the White and Red wires as described in the link provided. The RCA plugs into the back of the 4200 in the Brown rca jack. Hook up the reverse wire and the parking break sensor and everything should be good. I have the 4200 and have done this myself.

I'm all set with the reverse function, but I want cam anytime (to check a trailer). I'm doing the hookup in the A pillar since my fusebox area is to cluttered now with aux light circuits, remote start etc.

It's down to finding the 6V wires to the cam. Should be quick work with a multimeter.

ah, yeah didn't do the anytime mod since I have no need for that. The 6v power converter is in the rearview mirror so you would have to be able to switch on the mirror portion and I do not know which wire does that.

I talked top Maestro about it and they said their unit provides the 6V, so you just have to find the cam power wires and tap into them. I'll post the colors once I get to it.

Do you have any glitch issues with your HU? Mine will intermittently freeze or I don't have the "mic". The steering wheel button or directly on the screen; mic will flash but I get no tone. I'm going to get a new USB cable. I've heard cheap ones can cause issues and I have the problem a lot with one cable and less with another.

I occasionally get the mic flash, but that is more based off the phone than the head unit. Other than that haven't had any problems.
