So i am stationed in Germany and needed to replace my lower ball joints to pass inspection, went to do that and couldn't get the LCA free due to the seized front cam bolt. I still don't want to buy complete LCAs since I have already waited on the new ball joints to come in the mail. So I am looking to buy a new cam alignment bolt kit and cut the old ones out. So looking for inputs on where others who had the issue purchased theirs at?

Rock Auto has a greasable replacement; 45K0223.

I haven't run into this yet.

    Just a few
I just bought replacements from Toyota. They were expensive though. Had a hell of a time trying to cut through the passengers side cam bolt.

Thanks for the inputs. I guess I am just going to order new LCAs and the cam bolt kit from rock auto. Even if i cut the old ones out I am still going to have to order new bushings and all the eccentrics.

Yes, several people on here will recommend just replacing the entire LCA assembly. I just did this myself...all 4 of my cam bolts were frozen solid. I used 7 "the Torch" sawzall blades as well as one carbide tip blade I had lying around. Just take your time and be patient. I felt like taking little breaks and allowing the blades and bolts to cool in between assisted in the cutting. I'm super glad I ended up buying whole new LCAs, because once I got the old ones out I rented a ball joint press and couldn't budge any of the bushings with it. I'm going to have to use Boyd's method to cut out the bushings which will take some time. I ended up getting the Moog cam bolts. I've only had them on for a few days but love their grease-able design so far. Some people have had problems with the cam plates being rounded out by the cam bolts, so just be very careful when adjusting them and make sure you (or the alignment tech) are cranking on the correct side of the nut/bolt.
    Good luck.
