    Hahahahahahahaha.....

No. But, @ChandlerDOOM and I got deeper into it yesterday after getting back from the "Fall Crawl" event. Going to be doing some research to figure out what that section of harness costs and replace it as I don't think I'll ever have faith in it again.

We went with Brett who was the event host and think they sent one of the photographers with hi to keep him happy.

Dialysis Friday turned into a train wreck and I ended up in hospital for the weekend which obviously killed my plans to head back to Windrock for the Toyota LandCruiser 70 Series meet. They let me out this morning just in time to get a shower and then race off to the airport to pick up my wife.

Now I'm home and I'm back on the case of troubleshooting this wiring damage issue left over from Labor Day weekend. The section of harness that is damaged / suspect is the blue-green one seen in this image.

    824059E.jpg

The best I can tell, I need to order Toyota part # 82164-04C10. I say that because I "think" that is the right variant for my 2011 TRD Sport double cab with Auto transmission, 4.0L V6, factory tow package, and JBL audio. If any of you are proficient at breaking down the separate spec codes I'd be ever so grateful for your assistance. @ChandlerDOOM helped me chase the wiring but at no time did we come across any part number labels.

Bummer on the dialysis ordeal. So is it just me or does it look like the harness we were tracking down plugs into the purple halfway? I don't remember any stops from the grommet back to the rear, but now I'm curious if I missed a section where it stopped. I guess it would make sense if it tapped into the purple being that it leads to most of the sensors while the blue only leads to the rear and connector for the light orange harness

Any luck with getting the "fox and the hound" deal you were taking about? my buddy at work said it might be possible to test with a multimeter and just pricking the leads through the insulation, maybe sharpen the tips up a bit or gator clamps to fine needles

I can't tell if it plugs into the purple, or that in the diagram they converge at that grommet which makes it look that way. Planning on heading back to the shop tomorrow to do some more sleuthing around.

I'm going to be taking out the aftermarket stereo soon as I just scored one of the very rare @shaneckc iPad mini dash A/V kits from @foxyfabio808. I blame this change on @LGOPs504 ever since I saw his setup in his Tacoma I've wanted one. This one is black so it looks like I now have the motivation to do the black dash trim swap as well. The Pioneer will come out and go into the Land Cruiser as soon as I get the RedArc 24v to 12v power converter installed.

That's a great addition. I remember back when they were introduced. Is the wiring plug and play?

I need to buy the Sony head unit that it plugs into that hides behind it. That will plug into the factory harness and the iPad kit plugs into that.

Was under the Tacoma this morning with a friends OBD II scanner. It looks like I did damage to the ECU as well as the harness. With that realization I surrendered and called my local Toyota store and told them that I was going to bring it in. Put the charger on it for about an hour and then crossed my fingers as I drove it to the store. Got sketchy twice but it made it. Sure hope they have it ready for me before Expo because we really don't have any alternative camping arrangements since we added the FlipPac and the trailer isn't going to make it here in time.

How could the ECU be damaged from that?

Some kind of short is all I can figure. Starting to think that the dual battery manager is screwed up too, but if that is true I think my electrician caused it when he was trying to "clean up" the wiring and put all of its wires on one battery.

Damn that sucks. Better tell Toyota to at least supply the lube

Hopefully it isn't as bad as it seems

I provided a detailed list of everything that was disabled by the hit and they confirmed that my suspected part number is the correct one. Looks like they got it figured out and parts are being overnighted for free. Doing nice things for people in the parts and service department in the past have helped me with this one. Hopefully I'll get to take it on a shakedown run before the trip east to expo.

 Super Nice, and quality built rig you've put together man! I wanted to hear an update on how the dyna beads have been working out for you? I'm fed up with the BS stick on wheel weights...as soon as I get on a trail, they fall right off...annoying as hell! Thanks man!
