I'm making this build thread to help me keep track of my mods, as well as document the progression of my truck.

My end goal is to have a reliable daily that I can wheel at Rausch Creek at anytime. I started with prerunner, but I realized that it wasn't the platform I should start with. So I traded her for a 4x4!!

I named the thread my secondhand parts build, as almost everything on the truck was purchased secondhand. I've graduated from college, but my truck budget has remained relatively the unchanged.

    How she currently sits:

History: so I started with this https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/nimble9s-very-low-budget-fresh-outta-college-build.397526/

My first truck was my beloved access cab prerunner:
    image.jpg

But after a few months of ownership, and a harsh winter I realized I needed a DCSB or LB 4x4

    Then I stumbled on this:
    image.jpg

And after the dealer replaced the frame, wheel bearings, brake lines, TSB rear leafs, shocks, LCA's and much much more, I took her home!

    image.jpg

After she was mine, she didn't stay stock for long!

Installed my used bestop! Went up super easy without instructions. It's been pouring and even without the back window because my tailgate pad it's mostly dry!

Some updates! Last week I installed some 4" Amazon LED fog lights, as I missed having fog lights for inclement weather. Super easy to wire. Took like 5 min to solder and then it's plug and play. I aimed them way down to not blind others on the road as well.

    image.jpg

Output is much better than oem fog lights!

Less than 3 hours for full install of fronts, rear dakars, U bolt flip kit, extended SS rear brake lines installed and bled, and a test drive. All thanks to @Urineovrurhead! And thanks to @Firebird for support!

Ride report: it rides way better than stock! No alignment yet (getting one tomorrow) but it's straight as an arrow. No more sway bar but it rides about the same. I did have to turn sharp at 65 mph to avoid being hit by a work van, and it freaked me out how much it rolled, but that's about the only situation I can tell I don't have one. 886s in the front with weight are perfect and it drives so much better over everyday bumps. Dakars are with no weight in the back are not too stiff at all. Brakes feel a bit firmer but in a very good way.

There is a slight shudder from take off at 10mph but it's hardly noticble. CB drop will take care of that!

Overall extremely pleased with how it looks and even more pleased with how it performs. I can't wait to take it to Rausch Creek!

    All I need are bumpstops!

Here's the photo dump of the install day!

Went home and did the CV boot slide mod since I noticed the fins were touching after my lift.
