wanting to know if there are any fold up (Tri fold) bed covers that I can stand on while washing the roof...

I wash my truck every week and the thought of having to fold it open and get everything wet while washing has kept me from purchasing one...

I know some company's claim 300 or 400lbs (evenly distributed) but would it hold me standing up on it? (170lbs)

    Appreciate any info......Warren

    lol.....not a joke....

I live in an apartment and my alley that I wash my truck has a terrible incline, one side the ladder leans into the truck and the other side you will slip off and dent the roof with your forehead (did it)

Also, I get off work at 1pm and its hot with no shade....

I have to wash my mgm truck in 5 minutes or I get water spots

    Yep, "Big Time"...

When I ride my bike or tow my boat around here it's always dudes asking "How fast does that thing go" or "Take me with you fishing"....

But in the truck I get chicks in trucks saying "Nice truck" or "I like those wheels" it's pretty sweet

My buddy has an Audi R8.......it's a "Cock Magnet"......LOL

2nd diamond back. I have had one for 4 years. Work great and durable. I do not think any others can match load carry ability. One point to note though is that the middle section stays mounted at all times. So you do loose the bed unless you unbolt it. For our trucks the non HD version, 1200lbs I think capacity. I ended up with the HD as at the time the price difference was negligible.

When mounting do not over tighten the bolts or you will wreck the bed caps.

When mounting take your time and let the tonneau sit closed as long as you can. At least 24hrs. Then open it and re-adjust if needed.

Also don't install the front foam until after you let it sit. You may end up moving the cover to far back and have it not line up.

Once you have everything where you want it, Mark it either with a line or paint pen or marker on the inside of the bed cap. Scratch mark works. I did mine right at the edge of the midle peice. That way when you remove the tonneau you don't have to spend hours lining it back up. Just match up your lines.
