Here are a couple of what the set-up looks like on my truck. Pretty much the same thing except I have the air mattress that fits in the bed.

We took it camping for a couple days. It works best when you do not need to drive the truck but it really does not take all that much to set it up and break it down. We even did it in the dark the first night. That added some time to the process but everything worked out fine. Bring a dozen microfiber towels with you if you baby your paint finish just to protect where the straps come down on the side and tailgate. If you aren't that concerned with the finish and you are not OCD like me then the straps will not damage anything if they are installed correctly.

 

Ours worked well, I just have a cap now and this just isnt realistic for my use now, used it twice

You bet! I just folded them over a few times to make sure the straps were held away from the paint. Mostly needed under the tailgate but just a precaution on the other straps.

I wish I could justify this for the Vette! It's a great price and I loathe the Kenwood that's in there right now.

 

I've never had a Kenwood radio. I live JVC radios though, which has pretty much the same company for almost 10 years.

 

The Kenwood I have was more than double the price as my STi's AVIC-D3 brand new (same time period) and it doesn't have Bluetooth capability, the iPod integration is pitiful, you cannot change the background or illumination color, etc, etc.

 

My JVC is better than that. I can change the colors, came with bluetooth, iPod integration seemed fine last I had tried it. JVC radios aren't what they used to be though.

The Pioneer does sound better, but I rarely used it to watch anything on it, and it didn't get along with my iPod, though I think it was the iPods fault.

 

Just ordered a new Sport AC so I've been ordering parts/accessories.

Ordered the TRD Pro Wheels in Matte Black PTR20-35110 (17s)

Truck is being built, wont have for a month or more. Having second thoughts on the Matte Black.

Thinking about the Gunmetal/Gray instead.
