    He wanted to know how to adjust the gapping between the skid plate and the bumper. Yes you can remove the factory skid plate and install this in its place.

    "Also just curious about this since here in Ohio we have heavily salted roads in the winter, does that effect the powder coating?"

    Since changing powder coaters, it has been holding up a lot better. I would suggest trying it and after winter check for rust and if you find some just paint it with bed liner at that point.
