Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
I use Plano Sportsman Tote. Not great waterproofing since they just have a lip, no gasket. DIY silicone ring and they're fine. $25 or so usually.

MT stuff, RTT stuff, the usual.
Where are you located? @L3Goullon hooks up a lot of the AZ guys with great containers, pelican & hardigg ones. Here's a pic of the ones he got for me:

I used one of these for several years, worked great. It comes with an extendable metal handle that you can't see in the pic. I still use it for going to the beach to keep dry things dry. I moved to the black/yellow containers from Costco for camping because they are a bit smaller and stack. They're not watertight but they seem to do fine keeping dust out etc.

https://www.amazon.com/Gamma2-4123-Gamma-Seal-Black/dp/B0089QJQTS and a 5 gallon bucket. These are airtight. You can sit on them also. Anything you want to keep dry this is the answer! I went on a 4 day float trip once and a buddy had his clothes, cigs in a couple of these. It freaking poured rain one day and he was the only one that had dry clothes. And cigarettes!

Lowes has them and the 5 gallon buckets!

Get out your pocket book....pricey. I use them for work and you are looking at 200-500 bucks a piece depending on size.

You don't have much room in a canoe anyhow. This is perfect for that situation.

    I have these two.
    http://www.pelican.com/us/en/product/watertight-storm-hard-cases/large-case/transport-case/iM3075/
    http://www.planomolding.com/hardwar...runks/medium-sportsman-heavy-duty-black-trunk

the plano is old and has taken a lot of abuse. I actually originally used it as a jobsite tool box for story material (stuff that wouldnt develop legs and walk away) but needed weather protection. So its on its last leg. Got 6 years out of it and originally bought it used so who knows how old it is. (kijiji)

The pelican case is amazing, but they are a bit pricey. I was lucky I found that one off kijiji (similar to craigslist)
I met a couple last time I was camping and they told me they just use old ammo crates and such. you can get them dirt cheap from army surplus stores, so I'm considering getting some.

check out the dewalt tough system or the rigid version just like it
I've seen a few guys on the jobsites with them and they take a hell of abuse. They aren't as big but work great for small organizing.
I've been considering getting some for camping organizing as well.

also consider what @0210 is doing with his. He has a nice drawer system set up that he's building in his thread
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/0210-crawls-starbucks.447505/page-2#post-13309643

Really liking his setup. I'd do the same if I had a canopy.
Plus he has a beautiful german shepherd in a lot of the pics lol.

I use the "tough tote" boxes from Lowes with the yellow lid. Not totally waterproof but I usually carry a tarp anyways. They all stack and come in 4 sizes,
    At <$14 a piece I can't get mad if one breaks :)
