    I adjusted mine and was able to get the flex pipe/resignator 100% above the frame.

    Which y pipe? Stock one I think all pro and several others make a skid for it. The the urd one I'm not sure. I know it won't work with the skids I made. Leaning towards the dt y pipe for this reason and a price standpoint pending a conversation with gadget.

    Would be nice if gadget could rework his ypipe to work since it doesnt have a big kink in it like the dt.

    I know it's close to the actuator on the transfer case, but otherwise no problems on a cross member that I've found in my research

    Spoke with gadget. He doesn't like the material the dt y pipe is made out of (I don't either but dt has a 5 year warranty iirc) the urd y pipe for 4wd does cut under the transmission pan which coupled with a skid he didn't like the idea of either without a wrap due to heat issues especially being a crawler. On that note, Dt pipe ordered.

    I'd go spec u all the way. Don't see any reason to run a traditional y-pipe. Theirs a reason high end exhausts are equal length. Spec u also offeres better clearance at the transfer case

    It's not new. It's been out for atleast a year maybe 2. I guess they took it off the website temporarily to change some things on i, but I'm not sure what's being changed. I'd ask gadget and if it was me wait for the new one to come out. I'm not a Urd fan but I do like their spec-u exhaust and headers. If you're going long tubes I'd definetly go spec-u.

    I think the Spec-U was the combination of the URD Y-pipe with their performance URD exhaust. Supposedly it had some resonance issues together and the Y-pipe is being redesigned. The combination package of the Tacoma Spec-U system was removed from their site.

    The more equal length the y pipe the better the sound... if you're doing headers back and no cats; then two mufflers are the best bet :cool:
    Allan Phillips Racing came up with a great y pipe design for our tacomas; let alone many other performance mods

    There are three URD y-pipes. The original two, for PreRunner/Xrunner and 4×4, then the Spec-U equal length. Except the Spec-U Y-pipe only bolts with the spec-u exhaust. The other two bolt up to most other exhausts.

    The Spec-U Y was redefined after the APR equal length Y-pipe. Which was ~$600 just for the y-pipe, and required v-band flanges to be welded to the collectors of whichever headers you owned. As well as to the exhaust, and there was no flex coupling involved. Which is an exhaust crack in potential. To install that Y-pipe was much more costly than the URD setup, after you included the rest of the needed components, and labor.

    Question filled up today with gas push button for 91 about 10 gallons in I was looking at the read out above the digital. It's the white weel with black numbers that's I'm guessing what it read for the tank under ground. But the dial was spinning in the middle what would mean 87 if you're going from left to right. Receipt read out as premium. Should I be worried and buy some octane boost. An the tank is full too.
